All service dogs (guide dogs‚ assistance dogs) are carried free of charge‚ provided the dog is travelling with the owner‚ and the passenger is fully dependent on the animal.


Arrangements for the carriage of support or service animals are to be concluded no later than 72 hours prior to flight departure and such requests are to be sent to the Customer Support Desk at [email protected]


Travellers will be required to produce the following documentation for these dogs


Emotional Support or Guide Dogs

  • A formal letter (with a letterhead and practice number) from a Mental Health Professional stating that the passenger has a condition and that they benefit greatly from travelling with their pet.
  • An updated vaccination card with up-to-date vaccinations as well as the microchip number.
  • Should the dog have a medical condition and the veterinarian has recommended that any vaccinations or rabies shots be skipped or postponed, the passenger must include a letter from their registered veterinarian.
  • If the owner has any supporting documentation with regards to training classes/courses completed, that will be good to have but is not compulsory.


Service Dog

  • An updated vaccination card with up-to-date vaccinations as well as the microchip number.
  • Should the dog have a medical condition and the veterinarian has recommended that any vaccinations or rabies shots be skipped or postponed, the passenger must include a letter from their registered veterinarian.
  • A certificate or letter from a training institution stating that the dog has received training and is a qualified service animal.
