About Priority Boarding
What is Priority Boarding?
Priority Boarding is an optional add-on available to customers travelling in Economy. It allows you to board before general boarding begins, giving you a little more time to settle in on board.
Customers travelling in Premium will be invited to board before Priority Boarding customers.
Priority Boarding is offered on all LIFT flights, subject to availability and the 15-customer limit.
Priority Boarding can be purchased online or at the airport, provided it is purchased at least 24 hours before departure, and is limited to the first 15 Economy customers per flight.
Once all 15 Priority Boarding places have been purchased, the product will no longer be available for that flight.
Does Priority Boarding mean I will be the first person on the aircraft?
No. Priority Boarding means you will be invited to board after Premium customers and before general boarding begins.
It does not guarantee that you will be the first passenger to board, as other customers may need to board first for operational, safety or assistance-related reasons.
Why is Priority Boarding limited to 15 customers per flight?
Priority Boarding is limited to the first 15 Economy customers per flight so that the boarding process remains smooth and the benefit remains meaningful for customers who choose to add it to their booking.

Where can I purchase Priority Boarding?
Priority Boarding can be purchased through the following channels, subject to availability:
- During the booking process on the LIFT website
- After booking through Manage Booking on the LIFT website
- At the airport, at the LIFT ticket sales counter
- Priority Boarding must be purchased at least 24 hours before departure. It will no longer be available for purchase within 24 hours of departure.
Is Priority Boarding available on every flight?
Priority Boarding is offered on all LIFT flights, subject to availability and is limited to the first 15 Economy customers per flight.
Does everyone on my booking need to purchase Priority Boarding?
No. Priority Boarding can be purchased for individual passengers on a booking. You do not need to add it for everyone travelling under the same booking reference.
Is Priority Boarding available for children and infants?
Yes. Children travelling with an adult and occupying their own seat must also purchase Priority Boarding if they wish to board with the Priority Boarding group.
Infants travelling on an adult's lap do not occupy a seat and do not need to purchase Priority Boarding.
Please note that children and infants must still travel in accordance with LIFT's applicable travel requirements.
How does Priority Boarding work for customers requiring special assistance?
Customers requiring special assistance, including wheelchair assistance or Meet and Assist services, will be assisted and boarded in accordance with LIFT's applicable operational procedures.
Unaccompanied minors do not need to purchase Priority Boarding. They will board in accordance with LIFT's applicable Unaccompanied Minor procedures.
Customers travelling with a pet in the cabin may purchase Priority Boarding if available. All applicable requirements for travelling with a pet in the cabin still apply.
Using Priority Boarding at the airport and onboard
Can I purchase Priority Boarding at the airport?
Yes. Priority Boarding can be purchased at the LIFT ticket sales counter, subject to availability and provided it is purchased at least 24 hours before departure.
How will I know that I have Priority Boarding?
Your booking confirmation will show that Priority Boarding has been added to your booking.
Your boarding pass will also display “Fast Track” as the identifier for your Priority Boarding entitlement, allowing our airport team to identify you when boarding begins.
Please note that “Fast Track” does not provide access to Fast Track security, check-in, bag drop or any other Fast Track airport services and cannot be used for these services.
How does Priority Boarding work at the airport?
When boarding begins, a WhatsApp message will be sent to passengers to let them know that boarding is open.
Customers travelling in Premium will be invited to board first, followed by customers with Priority Boarding. General boarding will then begin.
What happens if I arrive after general boarding has started?
If general boarding has already started, we may no longer be able to provide the Priority Boarding benefit.
To make the most of Priority Boarding, please be at the boarding gate before boarding begins.
Does Priority Boarding guarantee overhead storage space?
No. Priority Boarding does not guarantee overhead storage space, a specific position in the boarding queue or a particular seat.
Cabin baggage remains subject to available space and LIFT's baggage rules.
Does Priority Boarding include priority check-in or priority bag drop?
No. Priority Boarding applies to boarding at the gate only.
It does not include priority check-in, priority bag drop, priority security screening or lounge access.
Changes, cancellations and LIFT Wallet refunds
What happens if I change my flight?
Priority Boarding is linked to a specific passenger and flight sector.
If you choose to change your flight, your Priority Boarding purchase will not automatically be transferred to your new flight. You will need to add Priority Boarding again for your new flight, subject to availability.
If Priority Boarding is available, you can add it to your new booking, provided it is purchased at least 24 hours before departure.
If Priority Boarding is not available for your new flight, the amount will be refunded into your LIFT Wallet.
What happens if LIFT changes my flight?
If LIFT changes your flight, we will transfer your Priority Boarding benefit to your new flight where possible.
If Priority Boarding is not available on your new flight, we will refund the value of your Priority Boarding to your LIFT Wallet.
Can Priority Boarding be transferred to another passenger?
No. Priority Boarding is linked to the passenger and flight sector for which it was purchased and cannot be transferred to another passenger.
What happens if Priority Boarding cannot be provided?
Priority Boarding is subject to operational requirements. In some circumstances, such as operational disruptions, late gate changes or changes to the boarding process, LIFT may be unable to provide earlier boarding.
Where LIFT is unable to provide the Priority Boarding benefit, the value of the Priority Boarding purchase will be refunded to the customer's LIFT Wallet.
