Checked baggage allowance
Your checked baggage allowance depends on the fare you selected at the time of booking:

Adding additional checked baggage
You can purchase additional checked baggage in two ways:
1. During the booking process
You can add extra checked baggage on the Extras page before completing your booking. Bags are charged per flight, so if you are booking a return trip you can choose to add bags to one or both flights.

Bag prices are per flight (one-way).
- You can book up to three checked bags online per passenger.
- If you need more than three checked bags, you can purchase additional bags at the airport on the day of departure for R300 per bag per flight, up to 23 kg each.
2. After booking
You can add extra checked baggage at the airport or through our Manage Booking portal up to one hour before departure. On Manage Booking, select "Add Extras" and follow the prompts. Bags are charged at R300 per bag per flight, and you can choose to add them to one or both flights if you are on a return booking.
Heavy bags
Bags weighing over 23 kg but less than 32 kg are considered heavy bags. An additional R200 heavy bag fee will apply at the airport. Bags weighing more than 32 kg cannot be accepted for check-in due to Health and Safety regulations. They must be sent via cargo at your own expense.
