Fragile liquids & glass

Due to normal handling processes, we don’t recommend travelling with liquids or glass in your cabin or checked baggage. LIFT is not liable for loss or damage to fragile items, so please pack carefully (see tips below).

If you’re flying domestically only

You may carry liquids in your cabin bag. Security may still ask you to present or screen items at their discretion. When in doubt, pack liquids in your checked bag.

Packing tips

  • Use leak-proof containers and seal lids tightly.
  • Place liquids in a zip-seal pouch and cushion them inside your bag.
  • Keep valuables and electronics separate from any liquids.
  • For peace of mind, consider placing larger liquid containers in checked baggage.

Am I allowed to travel with alcohol

Yes, you are allowed to travel with alcohol.

  • Alcohol must be sealed and in its original packaging.
  • The packaging must fit inside your one piece of hand baggage, as per LIFT’s hand baggage policy.
  • You may carry up to 2 L of hard liquor and unlimited wine, provided your total hand baggage weight does not exceed 7 kg.

We do not recommend placing alcohol in checked baggage, however, it is permitted

  • Up to 5L of hard liquor may be transported in checked baggage.
  • It will be tagged as fragile, and you’ll be required to sign a limited release form.

Please note: Passengers may only consume alcoholic beverages provided by LIFT on board. Drinking alcohol brought on board by passengers or third parties is strictly prohibited.
